How effective is your marketing using your business card (and website)?Does it contain ALL of the communication methods necessary for potential customers to contact you before, during AND after a sale?
The effectiveness of business card marketing is controversial. Some folks swear by its effectiveness while others believe it is a big waste of money.
One thing I've found over the years that is still UNDER-UTILIZED is using the FAX marketing method to grow businesses. Although the rules are the same as for telephone marketing, it can be VERY effective.
Also, when you have a FAX phone number on your business card, it puts you into a different class when potential customers see it. They tend to take you a bit more seriously.

Although I have a FAX machine and have been using it in my business for more than 10 years, its phone number is NOT the phone number I market when others choose to communicate with me via FAX.
When I need a proposal or contract sent to me with a client's handwritten signature or me to them, it is normally via FAX. If someone wants something that is on my computer and they are away from their office and therefore they don't have the ability to print out whatever I send them, they can ALMOST ALWAYS find a FAX machine for me to send it to them. Then they'll be able to receive a printed copy from me IMMEDIATELY because good business also has to do with timing, when customers want something from you NOW!
If I need something FAXed to me, I can't always be at my FAX machine. Therefore, for clients to keep up with my schedule regardless of the city I may be in at the time, I have them FAX it to my online FAX phone number and I receive it into my E-mail Inbox OR I just login to my account on my Fax-to-Email provider's website to retrieve the FAX since it goes both places for my convenience.
The only way to be able to send and receive files via FAX to and from your COMPUTER (I'm NOT talking about sending from a FAX machine) or via another computer connected to the Internet (e.g. at a hotel or library), is using FAX-to-Email technology. Your PC doubles as a FAX machine!
The company I've used almost exclusively over this 10-year period for my 21st century business development consulting company is very responsive and professional.
I admit that initially, I didn't understand the Fax-to-Email efficiency concept at first, but once I did, it became a NO-BRAINER. I've been spreading the word to my clients and others ever since.
If you think having a FAX number on your business card and website could help you generate more business and you have questions, then consider calling the folks I use. They'll be able to answer any questions you may have.
